Flood waters are now slowly receding in Rakiraki town.
Resident, Sanjeet Maharaj said rain has eased in the area.
Apart from experiencing heavy rain Villagers of Vitawa, in Rakiraki also felt strong winds which shook some houses.
We spoke to Netani Bakani a villager said the flood situation is severe which suprises them after a long time.
The rakiraki Bridge has been closed as water is still rising. The end of Tavua town towards Rakiraki has also been closed.
