Flood waters continues to rise in the Nadi and Labasa rivers as heavy rain continues and DISMAC is warning that these rivers are expected to burst their banks within the hour.
A curfew has been declared in the towns of Ba, Lautoka, Nadi and Sigatoka as heavy rain continues in these areas.
Police Deputy Director Operations Erami Raibe confirms that the curfew period started from 6pm and will be in force until 6am tomorrow.
Raibe said they are closely monitoring the situation in Labasa and a curfew may also be declared there if the need arises.
