Flood Waters Close Roads
Police confirmed that Naqali bridge in Naitasiri is under 2 metres of flood waters from last night as people are stranded on both sides of the bridge.
In Korovou, Nabilo road, Deepwater road and Nabulokani road is closed to all traffic. About two feet of water is on Sawani/Serea road which is also closed. In Naduru road, Nausori, due to blocked drains, flood waters have entered three houses this morning.
Nausori police said heavy rain continues in Nausori and the Rewa river is rising.
The Public Works Department (PWD) and police are monitoring the situation.
Meanwhile, the Nadi Weather Office has confirmed that a trough of low pressure is currently lying over the group which will bring in heavy rain in the central/eastern division throughout today.
The flash flood warning is still in place for Suva, Navua, Nausori, Tailevu, Naitasiri and Vanua Levu for today.
