Flood Water Continues To Rise
Nausori police confirmed the Kings Road remains closed as Viwa Flats is under two feet of water. The Waivalu flats near RKS are also under two feet of water with Deep Water and Maji Road under 1.8 feet of water.
In Naitasiri, Naqali Bridge is under two and a half meters of water. Monasavu Road has been closed to all traffic as flood waters have covered the road. The Waivatu Bridge and Waima Bridge are also 1.7 feet of water and is closed to all traffic.
The Rewa River water level as well as the Navua River water level is also rising and according to police it is expected rise even more when the high tide comes in at 6pm.
However, Queens Road remains open to all traffic while there have been no reports of flooding or road closure in the North.
Meanwhile, the Nadi Weather Office has confirmed that a trough of low pressure is currently lying over the group which will bring in heavy rain in the Central/Eastern division for the next two days.
The flash flood warning is still in place for Suva, Navua, Nausori, Tailevu, Naitasiri and Vanua Levu for today.
