A two flat house in Visama, Nausori was destroyed by fire last night.
Divisional Crime Officer Eastern, ASP Ramesh Chand confirms the fire started at 9pm and it is believed that a lit candle started the fire.
According to Chand house occupants were asleep when neighbors raised alarm. Chand said strong winds prevented house members from saving the two flats.
Police are yet to establish the cost of damage.
