A flash flood warning remains in force for low lying areas in the Central and Eastern Division as an active trough of low pressure remains slow moving over the Fiji group.

The Nadi Weather Office confirmed that heavy rain is forecast for Navua, Suva, Nausori, Southern and Eastern Viti Levu, Lau, the Lomaiviti group and Kadavu.

The Duty forecaster said areas in Suva, Nausori and Navua can expect rain in access of 50 millimeters overnight.

He said the trough is more active over Lau, Lomaiviti and Kadavu and residents can expected over 100 mm of rain where isolated heavy falls will be experienced.

The rain is expected to start clearing from late tomorrow.
