The Nadi Weather office has issued a flash flood warning for the low-lying areas of Vanua Levu, Taveuni, Lau and Lomaiviti group as an active trough of low pressure with associated clouds and rain remains slow moving over the group.

Weather Forecasters said they expect periods of rain heavy at times in these areas which can cause flash flooding.

They expect this weather to continue for a couple of days.

According to Forecasters moderate to rough seas are also expected and people going out to sea should take precautions.
