A flash flood warning is still in place for low lying areas around the country as a trough of low pressure from the East moves slowly over the group.
The Nadi Weather Office says this warning is in place until midnight tonight and people to expect heavy rain and thunder storms as the East ward low pressure system s bring in cloud and rain over the country.
Reports coming in from Nadi shows that there has been heavy rain since last night and this has resulted in the closure of parts of Aarolevu road.
The Arolevu Irish crossing is under five feet of water and people are advised not to cross the flooded part of the road.
