A flash flood warning is still in place for the low lying areas around the country due to a Tropical Depression which is lying in the West of the group.

Duty forecasters at the Nadi Weather office say a trough is also associated with this Tropical Depression outside Fiji group and is expected to bring in occasional rain, heavier at times around the country causing flooding of low lying areas.

According to forecasters, the Tropical Depression is slowly moving South and weakening at the same time. The forecasters are keeping a close watch on the Tropical Depression for any developments.

A strong wind warning remains in force for all Fiji waters especially Northern Vanua Levu, Northern Lau, Yasawas and Mamanuca.

Mariners are advised not to go out sea.
