The Nadi Weather office advises that a flash flood warning remains in place for the Central Eastern Vitilevu and Southern Vanualevu.

Director Rajendra Prasad said a low pressure system is currently over Central/Eastern Viti Levu which is also affecting Northern parts of the country.

Prasad adds that in past 24 hours the Central/Eastern division received the highest number of rainfall with heaviest rain recorded in Koronivia area at around 145.8 milimeters.

People living in low lying areas in Central/Eastern Vitilevu and Southern Vanualevu have been urged to take precautions. The low pressure system is expected to move South and other parts of the country will be affected from tommorow.

Meanwhile, Police in Vunidawa confirm that heavy rain has caused water levels to rise at the Naqali bridge and Waima bridge and they are monitoring the situation.

Police advises people to take precautions especially drivers.
