A flash flood warning remains in force for the Southern and Eastern parts of the country as a trough of low pressure lies slow moving over the Fiji group.

The Nadi Weather Office Duty forecaster told Fijivillage that heavy rain is forecaste for Navua, Suva, Nausori up to Tailevu for the next two days and people living in low lying areas are urged to take precautions as flooding of rivers, creeks and streams is expected.

He said the trough is also expected to be more active in the afternoons and evenings and will bring prolonged heavy rain.

However rain is expected to ease for the Northern and Western divisions from later today.

There are no reports of flooding as yet.
