The Nadi Weather Office has issued a flash flood warning for low lying areas around the country later today.
A trough of low pressure with associated rain and squally thunderstorms remains slow moving to the east of Fiji and heavy rain is forecast for Navua, Suva and Nausori, Nadi, Lautoka, Ba, Labasa, Savusavu, Taveuni and Northern and Southern Lau.
Deputy Director Alipate Waqaicelua has called on people living in low lying areas to take precautions if there is continuous heavy rain in their areas.
