The fixtures are set, the 2009 Super 14 playoffs will be contested by three New Zealand and one South African team.

No Australian teams are in the semifinals, the third time in fourteen years of Super Rugby history.

The teams making their way through to the semifinals are the Bulls, the Hurricanes, the Chiefs and the defending champions Crusaders.

Looking at the points table, the Bulls sit comfortably at the top with 46 points, the Chiefs are second with 45 points while the Hurricanes are third with 44 points and the Crusaders fourth with 41 points from 13 games where they won 8 lost 4 and drew 1 game.

The Bulls will face off with the fourth placed Crusaders.

If the Bulls beat the Crusaders, they will host the final.

In the second semifinal, the Chiefs who finished second will play the Hurricanes in Hamilton.

Looking at the prospect of a New Zealand final, this will only happen if the Chiefs and the Crusaders win their games.

The Chiefs face off with the Hurricanes this Friday at 7.35pm while the time is yet to be finalized for the Bulls/Crusaders match this Saturday.
