Five men charged with the murder of a 22 year old Nasavu Ra villager were today remanded in custody by the Rakiraki Magistrate Court.
The five Erami Tiudomu, Meneusi Veikila, Lino Lewadau, Vilikesa Nacaba and Mesake Lewadaubati today appeared before Magistrate Faizal Koya however no plea was taken as investigations into the alleged murder continues.
The five villagers are alleged to have assaulted Leone Naivi last Thursday during a fight which broke out between the two villagers.
The case has been adjourned till 16th June.
Meanwhile, 13 others were earlier released on bail after they were charged with assault and damaging property for their role in the brawl between the two villages.
