Fitness and skills in the game of netball will be the main key areas that Netball Fiji coach Melissa Walker will be focusing on, as she enters into her second and last day of trials this afternoon.

Walker said that fitness is a major area, as this determines the endurance phase of the girls on the court, and skills will portray how one stands up to pressure, whether it be playing at home or away from home.

Walker added that they have decided to have two days of trials as she needs to trim the numbers down to 21 for the under-21, and 30 for the open squad, so she can have a better chance of viewing the girls.

The new coach with the assistance of Netball Fiji officials will finalize the squad after the trials later this afternoon.
