The Police Search and Rescue team are off to Wakaya waters where a fishing boat has been reported to be on fire.
Levuka Police confirm they received a call from the nearby islands and upon checking they managed to see black smoke at open sea.
The said a team has just been sent to get more details of the fire.
It is not known at this stage if there were people on board.
