3 fishermen from Malamala, Nadi, are drifting near Viwa Island of the Yasawa group after they ran out of fuel midday yesterday.
Police spokesman Atu Sokomuri said Jale Dowti, Narend Lal and Anand Singh are onboard and one of the fishermen called his wife yesterday and informed her of the matter.
Sokomuri said they went out fishing on Sunday and were supposed to return yesterday.
Police are urging mariners to try and assist the 3 men.
