Police are investigating the death of a 38 year old fisherman of Navoci, Nadi, who was found floating at Waireba waters near Sonaisali yesterday afternoon.
The deceased was fishing with his friends when they were struck by huge waves that drowned the victim. He was conveyed to the Nadi hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The victim is survived by his 33 year old wife and two children aged 12 and 9.
The post mortem will be conducted on Monday.
