The failure to make their first tackles count and losing their set pieces was highlighted as the weak areas in the Digicel Fiji Sevens Team which led to their downfall in the semifinal of the Dubai Sevens to Samoa.

Coach Iliesa Tanivula with manager Sale Sorovaki have addressed these issues with the players in Dubai in their review of their performance after the loss to Samoa.

It was highlighted that Fiji only managed to win back one of their four kickoffs while the Samoans got 3 out of 4 of their kickoffs.

Fiji is in Pool B with Samoa, Namibia and USA in South Africa.

They will open their South Africa Sevens campaign against Namibia on Friday at 11.43pm.
