The outcome of their opening match against defending champion Auckland City will determine Nadi’s fate in the OFC Champions League according to their captain Benaminio Mateinaqara.

The group stage of the competition starts next Monday, though Nadi will not be in action until Tuesday when they meet the New Zealanders at Churchill Park.

Mateinaqara said it all depends on the first game against Auckland City and they will take each game as it comes.

Nadi has been seeded in a tough group alongside five time champion Auckland City, Amicale FC of Vanuatu and Tahiti champion AS Dragon.

Nadi will face champion Auckland City at 4pm next Tuesday at Churchill Park in its first match of the OFC Champions League and you can catch the live commentary on our sister station Radio Sargam.
