Australia continues to look for ways to support the people here in the current hard economic times and supporting small business is one way, as the private sector is the engine of the economy.

These are the words of Australia's High Commissioner to Fiji, James Batley as Fiji's first National Business Incubator Workshop was today held in Suva, attended by government planners, policy makers, business managers, private investors and other interested people.

The Australia Government has contributed $22,000 for the two day workshop which has a theme of "Making Business Incubators Work in Fiji."

A Business Incubator is a service that helps small businesses to start up and grow. It is quite successful in other countries.

The workshop ends tomorrow.
