The Department of Mineral Resources will be monitoring the sale of fireworks in the shops and supermarkets today with the help of the Police Force.
Principal Scientific Research Officer in the Mineral Resources Department, Matai Waqanokonoko said they have asked for Police assistance in identifying the shops and supermarkets that are selling banned fireworks.
Waqanokonoko also names the fireworks that are not allowed to be sold to the public.
He confirmed that those who are U-18 years of age will not be allowed to buy fire-crackers.
