The National Fire Authority averted a major disaster in Pathik Cresent in Namadi Heights last night.
National Fire Authority said they received an emergency call after nine last night and when the fire fighters arrived at the scene, they found the storeroom of a four bedroom concrete and timber house on fire.
Firefighters managed to stop the fire from spreading to the four bedroom house as well as to the nearby homes located few meters away.
Initial investigation show the fire may have started from an electrical fault and investigations continue.
