Firefighters have managed to put out the fire in the Tavakubu industrial area in Lautoka.

National Fire Authority CEO John O’Connor said the fire started from the Lautoka Upholstery Warehouse.

The warehouse is destroyed.

Firefighters managed to control the fire from spreading to other nearby buildings in the industrial area in Lautoka.

O’Connor said they received a call at about 10 o’clock this morning and when the firefighters arrived at the scene, the building was fully engulfed in flames.

NFA is now investigating the cause of the fire.
