Quick action by firefighters managed to put out a fire in one of the dormitories belonging at the Dilkusha Girls Home in the last hour.
According to our reporter Dhanjay Deo at the scene, no one was hurt in the incident as the girls were all at the dining hall having their dinner.
Passer bys noticed the fire and informed those at the school, after which the National Fire Authority was notified.
Firefighters managed to control the blaze.
The National Fire Authority and the Police are working together to investigate the cause of the fire.
