A team of Police Officers are in search for the unknown men who allegedly tried to burn the house of Global Risk Chief Executive Officer Sakiusa Raivoce and Fiji Times Editor in Chief Netani Rika early this morning.
Speaking to Fijivillage, Police Spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri confirms a report has been lodged and investigations are underway.
Meanwhile the Head of the Global Risk Strategies Sakiusa Raivoce said he was woken up by the sound of an explosion early this morning.
Rika is also calling on the Interim Government to step in and do something.
These two attacks are part of the latest attacks on prominent figures in recent weeks.
The vehicles of Unionist Kenneth Zinck, Fiji Times Editor Netani Rika, Laywer Akuila Naco and the most recent attack on Movement for Democracy Chairperson Attar Singh, were damaged by unknown assailants.
Police are looking for a suspect who allegedly robbed a businessman in Wailada Lami last night.
Police Spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed that the suspect broke into a warehouse and stole assorted items worth $40,000.
According to Sokomuri they have the identity of the suspect and Police are expected to arrest him soon.
The businessman also sustained injuries during a struggle with the suspect.
Police are now looking for the getaway vehicle that was involved in the robbery.
