A fire this morning partially damaged the Fiji Sugar Corporation’s Ba Sugar Mill.
The National Fire Authority confirmed the incident happened just after 11 this morning and when firefighters arrived at the scene thick black smoke was coming out from the boiler section of the mill.
Quick action by the fire crew confined the fire to the boiler area and prevented a major fire disaster at the mill.
