A family of three is homeless after their one bedroom lean-to home was destroyed in a fire yesterday morning.
The National Fire Authority (NFA) in Valelevu responded to a house fire at Sakoca settlment off Khalsa Road, and upon arrival the fire crew found the corrugated iron dwelling engulfed in flames and part of the roof and walls had collapsed.
The fire crew could not save anything and quick action ensured the fire did not pose any major threat to the neighbourhood.
No one was hurt as the home which belonged to Ronald Sanjay Nand, was vacant as the family were away in the West.
