A family in Lakena Nausori was left homeless yesterday after their four bedroom house was destroyed by a fire.
Divisional Crime Officer Eastern ASP Keshri Lal confirms all family members were out shopping when the house caught fire.
He could not confirm how the house caught fire but said neighbours heard a loud noise from kitchen and were shocked to see the house was on fire.
Lal said the cost of damage is estimated to be around $40,000.
