Fire fighters managed to contain a bush fire which began to threaten the Father Law Home in Veisari this afternoon.
The National Fire Authority confirms that they rushed to the scene after the report of the bush fire which had destroyed some 50 meters of bush when they got to the scene. The fire was reported to be nearing the building when it was contained.
There were no injuries and it is believed that the fire started from a dump site.
