Police and National Fire Authority are now trying to ascertain the cause of a fire that destroyed the National Trust of Fiji office in Sigatoka yesterday morning.

National Fire Authority said they received an emergency call after 3am yesterday morning and when the fire fighters arrived at the scene they discovered the National Trust office located at the Sigatoka Sand dunes engulfed in flames.

Fire fighters fought hard against windy weather condition to contain the fire from spreading to the natural reserve area.

According to the fire authority this is the second fire incident the firefighters have attended to at the National Trust Office.

The first fire incident was last year in November which partially destroyed the Natural reserve area.
