Police are investigating the cause of the fire which destroyed 12 bures in Navala, Ba yesterday afternoon.
Firefighters received a call yesterday at about 2pm, however Navala is located some 30 kilometers from Ba town which made it difficult for the firefighters to reach the scene on time.
A team of firefighters and Police officers were conducting their investigation until late last night however the cause of the fire is still unknown.
Assistant Police Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said they have not ruled out arson and members of the village will be questioned today.
Village members escaped injuries during the incident.
