A Tailevu school teacher is homeless as his house caught fire at the school compound in the last hour.
Fire officials are currently at the scene to investigate the cause of the fire.
The wooden house which is in the Tai District School compound located in Vugalei has been completely destroyed.
Some of the students have been sent home.
Tailevu District Provincial Council member Taito Matasawalevu said that they suspect the fire started from an electrical fault.
