A Strategic Fire Map for Fire Safety around the country for the next couple of years, drawn up by the National Fire Authority, will be presented to Cabinet in two weeks time.
This has been confirmed by National Fire Authority Chief Mark Reid who adds that if the paper is approved, this would see better and improved services provided to people who need fire facilities in their respective areas.
Reid also reiterates that the four areas that need to be improved with regards to fire services are, better water supply, improvement of building structures, for people to call as soon as a fire occurs and no later to reduce damage, and the most important, educating people on fire safety.
Interim Minister for Public Utilities Jone Navakamocea is expected to comment later today.
