The Land Transport Authority has reiterated its warning to drivers that they will be fined if they are caught using their mobile phones while driving.

Fijivillage received calls from members of the public who were stopped by LTA officials, and raised concerns that they were not aware that there is a law in place which prohibits the use of their phones while driving.

LTA Chief Executive Etuate Koroi said the law has been in place for a long time and alot of awareness has been made on the issue.

He said the regulation on this issue is very clear.
