The global financial crisis is taking its toll on the Vatukoula Gold Mines which are now faced with a cash flow problem.
General Manager Burt Leatly said their head office in London is now trying to secure the much needed finance to get things back on track.
Leatly stressed that while they continue to produce gold, they are not making any profits.
He had earlier revealed that all the mine shafts remain flooded since the floods in January which has set them back 9 months.
