Marist leads the boys division with 4 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze, the Grammar boys are in second place with 3 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze while Xavier College from Ba is in third place with 2 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze.

In the girls division, Suva Grammar School leads with 5 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze, Adi Cakobau School is in second place with 4 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze and MGM is in third place with 2 gold and 1 silver.

As Day One of the 2011 Coca Cola Games comes to an end, Marist Brothers High School is leading the Fijivillage medal tally in the boys division while Suva Grammar School after many years is leading the girls division after the first day of competition.

Marist leads the boys division with 4 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze, the Grammar boys are in second place with 3 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze while Xavier College from Ba is in third place with 2 gold 2 silver and 2 bronze.

In the girls division, Suva Grammar School leads with 5 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze, Adi Cakobau School is in second place with 4 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze and MGM is in third place with 2 gold and 1 silver.

Earlier this evening, it was a historic race as Marist captain, Banuve Tabakaucoro won the Senior Boys 100 metres final, took the gold and broke the record.

His record breaking time was 10.43 seconds, the same time he recorded in the heats earlier this afternoon.

He broke the 18 year old record set by Viliame Nasuku back in 1993.

Nasuku's time was 10.74 seconds.

SUVA Grammar School took gold in the Intermediate boys 100 metres after Waisale Ledua came in first with a time of 10.92 seconds.

In other results, Paulini Korowaqa of Grammar retained the senior girls 100 metres title after beating Varanisese Nasilasila of Ratu Navula Secondary and Alisi Marama of ACS.

Elenoa Sailosi of ACS beat Sisilia Seavula of Saint Joseph Secondary in the Intermediate girls 100 metres final in a record time of 12.2 seconds.

The previous record stood at 12.34seconds.

In the 100 metres Junior Girls final, Vasemaca Radinilaga of ACS beat Kaylor Yee of Yat Sen Secondary to win gold for the girls from Sawani.

In the 400 metres final, Ratu Tira Narara took out the gold medal for Marist Brorthers High School after he recorded the fastest time.

It was icing on the cake for Adi Cakobau School after their Head Girl and team captain, Ana Kaloucava won the gold medal in the Senior Girls 400metres in a time of 55.6seconds.

Kaloucava beat last year's champion and national athlete Makitalena Lokolokobuka.

In the Inter Girls 400 metres finals, Miriama Senokonoko of ACS took the gold in a time of 57.21seconds.

In the Junior girls Kelera Mocenacagi of Jasper Williams High School created an upset after she beat Alaiwalu Rayawa of ACS to win gold in a time of 1 minute 1 second.

The second day of the Coca Cola Games will kick off at 8am tomorrow morning.

The first event on the tracks is the 3000 metres final.
