The Bureau of Statistics is expected to release the final figures for the National Census conducted last year by the end of this month.

Principal of Statistics Amenatave Rakanace said they haven't set a date for the releasing of the final figures, however, it will be before the end of this month.

He has assured there will be insignificant changes in the provisional figures provided by the Bureau of Statistics and stressed that the Boundaries Commission can use the provisional figures to carry on with their work.

Meanwhile, Boundaries Commission Chairperson, Suresh Chandra hopes the final figures are given to the Commission by the end of this month, as they have targeted to finish their work by the end of this year to be on track to conduct the General Elections next year.
