Vodafone Fiji 7s coach Ben Ryan will announce his final 12 players to the Dubai 7s this Friday.

After a grueling 7s tournament in Labasa last week, all the players apart from the injured Donasio Ratubuli have put their hands up for selection following their fine performance.

Team Manager Ropate Kauvesi says Nadroga captain and former national 7s skipper Nemani Nagusa is eager to don the white jersey again.

He adds that other new players who have been outstanding include Nadroga fly half Alivereti Veitokani, Sevuloni Moceinacagi and Emori Waqa.

Some of the players who are expected to make the final cut for the Dubai and the Cape Town Sevens are Savenaca Rawaca, captain Osea Kolinisau, half back Jerry Tuwai and lanky forward Pio Tuwai.

Both the men’s and women’s teams started camping again today to prepare for the Dubai 7s.

Kauvesi says the Telecom Fijiana side will not use the same team that won the Oceania 7s and will open the doors for other players in the Fijiana extended squad.

The teams will be announced at Uprising Beach Resort on Friday.

The Dubai 7s will be held from the 4th to the 6th of next month.

Fiji is pooled with Japan, Canada and Argentina.
