After an impressive performance in the Oceania Rugby World Cup qualifying tournament, the Fijiana 7s team is ready to battle for a spot for their first ever Rugby World Cup 7s tournament.

The Fijiana 7s team will be taking part in the Asian Qualifier next month and the road to the World Cup does not come any easier as they face stiff competition from China, Japan, Hong Kong and Kazakhstan.

Meanwhile, Fiji Rugby Union confirms that a 35 member squad is currently training from which a 12 member team will be selected next week.

Players who are likely to make the cut include Rusila Naqasau, Rusila Tamoi and Ana Maria Roqica.

The Asian Women’s Rugby Sevens Qualifier kicks off on the 6th and the 7th of next month in India.
