Our womens sevens rugby team has created history after qualifying for the 7s Rugby World Cup.

This is the first time the Fiji womens 7s team has qualified for the World Cup which will be played in Russia. 

This has happened after Fiji won the Asian Women’s sevens championships beating China 15-nil in the final.

The Fijiana scored three unconverted tries to Asinate Ufia Savu, Rusila Nagasau and Lavenia Tinai.

Fiji thrashed Singapore 47-0 in the quarter-finals and hammered Japan 31-7 in the semifinals.

China and third playoff winner Japan will now join the Fijiana in next years women’s rugby world cup sevens in Russia.
