Fijian rugby flair will be on show at the Delhi Games next week despite Fiji's suspension from the Commonwealth after Isoa Damudamu won a race against time to secure British citizenship.

The Fijian born soldier in the British army, one of the top exponents of rugby sevens, has also fought back from shoulder injury to line up for England in the October 11th and 12th tournament in the Indian capital.

Damumadu said he has just got his British citizenship, so he is in Delhi and is fit and ready to go.

Fiji was suspended from the Commonwealth in September 2009 and their athletes were excluded from the Delhi Games despite an appeal to the Court of Arbitration of Sport in April.

Flanker Damudamu has lived in England for 10 years and represented his adopted country on the international 7s circuit since 2007.

New Zealand, whose squad features four All Blacks, are favourites to retain their title at Delhi University next week.

Meanwhile, Australia currently leads the medal tally with 9 gold, 9 silver and 4 bronze medals while India has jumped to the second spot with 5 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze medals.

England are on third spot with 2 gold, 7 silver and 4 bronze and South Africa are on fourth spot with 2 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medal.
