Fiji rugby players were outstanding in the opening round of the Heineken Cup competition for their respective overseas clubs.

Kameli Ratuvou scored a try and helped his Saracens club beat Glasgow Warriors 33-31 in their opening match. FMF Flying Fijians Captain Mosese Rauluni played in the second half for Saracens.

Meanwhile, Maleli Kunavore also featured for the Toulouse side as they romped to victory against Edinburgh by 19-15 while Clermont Auvergne in France defeated Llanelli Scarlets by 48 points to 21.

Clermont Auvergne had the services of Filimoni Delasau and Seremaia Bai while the Scarlets had Fijian Deacon Manu.
