Fijian rugby players continue to hit the headlines in their respective teams abroad with impressive performances in this weekend's games.

In the Guiness Premiership, national 15's rugby first five eight Waisea Luveniyali has been given the thumbs up from his Harlequins Coach Dean Richards to be first choice flyhalf for the next one month, as former All Blacks rep Nick Evans is down with injury.

Although Luveniyali only landed three conversions from his nine kicking attempts in their 31-13 win against Bristol, his coach thinks he just had an off day as he is a far better kicker than that performance.

Richard also believes Luveniyali is always dangerous with the ball in hand and he a fantastic footballer.

Meanwhile, in the Top 14 competition in France, Clermount had to rely on winger Napolioni Nalaga to beat Toulouse 16-6.

It was a repeat of the last 3 months final but it was time for Nalaga's Clermount side to avenge their loss.

Meanwhile, in South Africa Sireli Naqelevuki crossed twice for his Western Province side in their 90-15 win against the Falcons in the Currie Cup.
