The Fijian community in Auckland has raised concern that the Customs department in Suva has charged them $3,000 duty to release the container containing donations such as clothes and used furniture that can be given to underprivileged and the CWM Hospital.

Speaking from Auckland, Fijian community spokeswoman, Bulou Amalaini said they have been sending donations to Fiji in containers from 2005 without any duty levied by the customs department.

She said they have written a letter to the Interim Prime Minister if he can assist in anyway to release the container to the Central Christian Centre in Nausori.
