The Scotland Rugby Union is expected to formalize Fiji as its first opponent in his year's Autumn Test rugby programme.

The Scottish sports news website, Scotsman.com, reported that arrangements are in hand for the Flying Fijians to launch a three-match programme on Saturday November 14 and also expected to include Australia and Argentina on subsequent weekends.

Last month the Evening News revealed that an Australian Rugby Union schedule had the wallabies committed to visiting Murrayfield on the weekend of November 21.

One effect of the disappointing Six Nations campaign just ended is that Fiji has leapfrogged the Scots to ninth in the world rankings.

However, a side which last played Scotland in the 2003 World Cup has played only three internationals in the past year, beating Samoa and Japan but losing to Tonga.
