The Digicel Fiji Sevens team's game against Samoa will decide who goes through to the Cup quarterfinals at the Hong Kong Sevens tournament.

This Hong Kong Sevens tournament format is different from other IRB World Sevens Series tournaments, where the top six winners go through from each pool with the two best runner-up teams making the last eight.

The Fiji/Samoa clash in Pool E is billed as the match of day two but first they will have to overcome Chinese Taipei and Canada, the other two teams in their pool.

Fiji and Samoa are highly likely to fight for top spot in Pool E, even one can miss out in the Cup quarters depending on the results of other Pool games.

Fiji plays their opening match against Chinese Taipei on Friday at 8:52pm.

Then on Saturday Fiji plays Canada at 5:05pm before facing Samoa at 9:28pm.
