The results of the Northern Hemisphere tour currently being taken by the Southern Hemisphere teams will not have a lot of bearing on next year's World Cup in New Zealand.

Connolly who guided Australia to the 2007 Rugby World Cup said that both the Wallabies and All Blacks will always be favourites but European teams together with Fiji and Samoa will always be a threat next year in New Zealand.
