Vodafone Fiji 7s coach Ben Ryan says the team is yet to reach their full potential.
Speaking after Fiji won the Dubai 7s tournament over England this morning, Ryan says they stuck to their plan which was to start well in the series.
Fiji beat England 28‑17 in the Cup final this morning.
This is Fiji’s second Dubai Sevens title after winning it in 2013.
Ryan also says he sang both national anthems during the Dubai final.
Fiji scored four converted tries in the first half and put through an impressive defensive effort in the second half to maintain their lead and come through with the victory.
England'’s Dan Bibby scored the first try in the match, but this was soon followed by four back to back tries from Savenaca Rawaca, Jasa Veremalua, Isake Katonibau and Jerry Tuwai.
The national sevens team led England 28-5 at halftime.
England scored two tries in the second half, but it was not enough to win.
Meanwhile, Jerry Tuwai won the HSBC player of the final.
The national sevens team beat New Zealand 19‑5 in their Cup semifinal match and defeated Australia 19‑12 in the Cup quarterfinal.
Fiji now leads the HSBC World Sevens series points table with 22 points.
England is in second place with 19 points and third is USA with 17 points.
New Zealand is in fourth place with 15 points while South Africa sits in the fifth position with 13 points.
The Vodafone Fiji Sevens team will now prepare for the Cape Town Sevens that will be held next Saturday and Sunday.
Fiji is pooled with Argentina, Scotland and Russia in the Cape Town Sevens.
