The Digicel Fiji 7s team has won two of its two pool matches in the Fiji Water Centennial Oceania 7s at the ANZ stadium.

Fiji beat Tuvalu 48-0 and hammered Cook Islands 41-0 in the second match.

Fiji 7's coach, Ben Ryan who is assisting Alifereti Dere as a Technical advisor in the tournament said he is satisfied with the performance however some work needs to be carried out.


Ryan also confirmed that some players in the Fiji Warriors and Fiji Barbarians sides also look good and he will invite those players for the training camp for the Dubai 7's.

Fiji's next match will be against Papua New Guinea at 4.43pm.

In another Oceania match, Samoa thrashed Solomon Islands 43-0.

In the international competition, the Fiji Warriors won two of its pool matches in the International tournament at the ANZ stadium.

The Fiji Warriors beat Argentina 17-5 and defeated France 21-10.

Osea Kolinisau scored a try and set up another for the Warriors against France.

In other International matches, USA beat Fiji Barbarians 24-19, Argentina beat USA 19-17, Cook Islands beat Papua New Guinea 14-10 and Australia hammered American Samoa 31-0.

Meanwhile, the quarterfinals of the Oceania tournament will start at 11am tomorrow while the semifinals of the International tournament will start at 12.28pm tomorrow.

The final of the Oceania tournament will be played at 4.23pm while the final of the International tournament will be played at 4.45pm tomorrow.
